Grow Your Business in 2023 | Marketing Refresh

Rebranding doesn't have to be complicated or overly expensive. Especially since we are offering 23% off your refresh as a way to celebrate 2023! With a marketing rebrand you can refresh your look without starting from scratch, saving you time and money. Here are a few examples of materials that you can bring a new look to in 2023.

BUSINESS CARDS

First impressions matter! Don't get caught with an outdated card that may even be little crinkled from age. Even worse, don't get caught WITHOUT a card! Business cards may be simple, but they are an important part of networking. Your standard business card is 3.5"x2" and can be either single-sided or double-sided.

Some business card design tips...
  1. Keep it simple, don't overthink it. Here's what you need:

    1. Business Name/Logo

    2. Your Name

    3. Contact Information (email and phone...no one needs your fax number!)

    4. Website

    5. Small description of what you do. Keep it to a sentence or a short list (choose one).

  2. Use both sides!

    1. I know I said they can either be single-sided or double-sided, but don't waste that space on the back of your business card. I like to use the back to showcase my full logo and put a small description of what I do. The other side gets my contact details and website link.

    2. When you order business cards with Chickadee, the backside is always printed for FREE! That's how much we think it matters.

  3. Stand out from the rest!

    1. Go beyond your standard business card. Choose a folded card, a dimensional card, premium paper, bold colors and more to help you stand out.

HANDOUTS

Handouts are perfect for events or to include with a customer's completed order. Your handout should bring people back to you for their second, third and fourth order. Below is a sample of our 6"x4" double-sided handouts. On one side, I include my logo, a small thank you to show my appreciation for their support and contact information so they can easily reach me again. The other side encourages them to follow our social media and to leave a review on our Facebook. I also include an incentive for customers to leave a review, offering them 10% off their next order. Through the handout, I'm able to include more information that wouldn't be appropriate for a business card.

As you can see, my handouts match my logo and overall branding. I have our colors, our fun font, and I even added some little chick prints that I drew. The family photo was added for a personal touch that lets people know that when they support me, they also support my family.

BROCHURES

Brochures are great for businesses that offer a variety of services. This might include a general contracting business, cleaning services, bed and breakfast, tourist attractions, boutique, event space, and more.

Some brochure design tips...
  1. Draw people in with relevant photos.

    1. This could be photos of your work, before and after photos, or photos of the service(s) that you offer.

    2. Use high quality photos only. Avoid photos that are grainy, poorly lit, or oddly angled.

      1. This could be an opportunity to get marketing photography done by a professional photographer.

  2. Use the right type size.

    1. This one is a pet peeve of mine! You don't want your type to be too small to read OR too big that it takes up a ridiculous amount of space. I recommend using 11pt font for general text. Use a slightly larger size for headers and quotes.

      1. With the above being said, keep your audience in mind. If you have an older clientele, a larger font is appropriate.

  3. Educate potential clients about your business.

    1. Do you offer specific services or work in certain areas? List them!

    2. Do you have different packages for customers to choose from? List them!

    3. Do you offer a referral system for customers? Don't forget to let them know!

    4. Have you won any local small business awards or recognitions? Show them off!

  4. Use the brochure as an opportunity to offer a sale or deal!

    1. This is completely optional, but it might help you bring in customers and help you determine if your brochures are bringing in the business you want them to. #ROI
